CEUTA AWARDED INVESTORS IN PEOPLE SILVER STATUS - 02/11/2009

Following Richard Sloane’s assessment of us over the past fortnight, I am delighted to bring you the extremely exciting news that Ceuta Healthcare has been awarded Silver status by the national organisation Investors in People (IiP) in recognition of our exceptional leadership and management practices and our dedication to staff and personal development opportunities.

IiP assesses businesses and other organisations on a range of criteria and helps to improve performance through good practice in people management.

To achieve the IiP standard, an organisation must meet a minimum of 39 requirements. Ceuta Healthcare not only met these requirements but also met a further 80 requirements beyond the minimum standard to gain Silver status. Silver status puts us among the top 1% of recognised Investor in People organisations in the UK. Bronze, Silver and Gold status was only introduced by IiP in May this year to celebrate achievements above the required standard and encourage organisations to improve even further.

Key requirements of the IiP standard include: clear strategies to improve performance, effective leadership and management and a high level of employee engagement. All three requirements have been proven to have a positive impact on performance and success.

Thanks are due to everyone in the company for this outstanding award. Richard informed Chris and me that Ceuta is the best company he has ever assessed. He was only required to interview 25 of us but actually spoke with 38 people and everyone was, without exception, 100% positive towards Ceuta Healthcare. This is simply outstanding and demonstrates how we have further improved since our first 3 year IiP assessment in 2006.
